We investigate wrongful convictions, fight for the innocent, and push to fix the system that failed them. Florida has a problem. We’re working to solve it.

Meet the Freed
The Innocence Project of Florida (IPF) is an IRS-certified 501(c)(3), non-profit organization founded in January 2003 to help innocent prisoners in Florida obtain their freedom and rebuild their lives.
Three pillars drive everything we do — from the first case review to the last day in court, and every reform effort in between.
Investigate
We dig into cases the system has closed. Our attorneys and investigators re-examine evidence, interview witnesses, and pursue DNA testing to find the truth — no matter how long it takes.
Litigate
When evidence points to innocence, we fight in court — at no cost to our clients. From post-conviction motions to full exoneration hearings, we provide the legal firepower they can’t access on their own.
Advocate
Freeing one person isn’t enough. We push for systemic reform — better eyewitness ID procedures, limits on junk science, and accountability for misconduct — so Florida’s justice system stops failing innocent people.
